We worked with Brighton based, social media agency - NixonMcInnes to create this ambitious widget for Oxfam.
The widget is designed to inform the audience of the issues being discussed at the G8 summit in Japan on July 7th, and petition world leaders to 'Take Action' on Aid, Health & Climate Change.
In addition to acting as a data capture device, it also reoprts back live, the latest petition figures, and the names of the latest signees.
We produced 2 different versions of this widget in 8 different languages that have been placed on Oxfam and GCAP partner web sites globally.
The backend data handling and RSS data feeds were developed by the guys at NixonMcInnes and we worked with them to produce a custom widget 'grab' system to provide the localised versions of the widgets to a select group of partners.
At the last count, the widget had captured over 80,000 wishes, which we think is pretty cool. |
